Joe Garland is providing a series of videos showing how to prepare a manuscript for self-publication. They can be found at Dermody House

If you struggle with making your book look “right” on Kindle or Print, follow Joe on Twitter. Also, take a look at his books. I enjoyed his historical, literary novel, Róisín Campbell: An Irishwoman in New York.

Biography:

Joseph P. Garland was born and grew up in Westchester County, just north of New York City. He moved to Manhattan for Columbia Law School and remained there for over a decade when he began practicing law.

He has since returned to Westchester and is continuing to practice law as well as continuing as a runner and musician. More recently, he took up writing fiction. His first novel is “Róisín Campbell: An Irishwoman in New York.” It takes place in the 1870s, around the time when one of his great grandparents arrived in New York from Ireland. He is at work on a related novel as well as a contemporary story that takes place in Manhattan and Westchester.
