The Ship from Wolfskill is the first book in the Wolfskill trilogy. If you didn’t like Members of the Cast, The Ship from Wolfskill might be more to your liking. There is a body count in this steampunk-ish western sci-fi adventure. (Say that three times fast.) If you liked Members of the Cast, be rest assured that this book has its share of poignant scenes as a tale of good and evil unfolds.

In the early 1890s, Freebooters are burning and pillaging towns to the south. As they draw closer to young Will’s valley, he dreams of escaping with Laura. When he discovers his Uncle’s flying airship, styled after a Mississippi riverboat, he and his friends take the battle to the Freebooters. Men from the town are captured, and the race to free them begins.

If you ever dreamed of flying—floating above the world—come dream with Will. You will long for a flying steamboat.
