I have long suspected that I could get more done if I had two Personal Assistants. But I really need a housekeeper, butler, and PAs.

This AM, I spent way too much time ordering on Amazon. This could easily have been taken care of by a PA. I also washed windows. Those of you who are quick off the mark will deduce that a housekeeper could have taken care of this odious task.

The true revelation came when I realized that I needed a rich housekeeper, butler, and PAs. Surrounded by wildly rich servants, I could say, “I’m going to need a new navy sports coat and the piano tuned,” and there would be no discussion. I would never again give a thought to my checking account.

The butler would know to get a 40-long blazer with gold buttons. My piano tuner has gone missing, and while I can tune a piano, I find that having to put the tuning hammer on 228 pins is tiresome. Because pianos need to be balanced, and sometimes—shock of shocks—I have to revisit a note or two, this task cuts into my writing time.

If I just had a clever writer who would pen these mindless trivia filled blogs, I could be writing this minute. Unless one of my PAs could take my first draft and write a bestseller. Hmmmm.

I spent my life teaching 6th graders. We have always been involved in church. Now I spend my days in an old stone house, wandering our four acres, and writing.
